State champ is now a Hall of Famer
| Bryan Benton, a four-time state champion in high school, was inducted into the Team Georgia Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a Little Kids wrestler. Benton won three state titles as a Little Kids wrestler. |
Benton ends career with 4th title
| In what was an historic night for Toombs County High School wrestling, the Bulldogs produced two state champs and a school best third place finish in Double A. Bryan Benton made history by winning his fourth state title. Benton opened up a 7-1 lead over Cam Thurmond of Jefferson and he won the match 11-3, just one week after losing to Thurmond 4-2 in the East Sectional finals. Watch highlights Video |

Toombs County High School junior wrestler Bryan Benton beat Wes Rampley of Armuchee 22-7 to win his third straight state championship. Benton, competing in the 135 pound division, finished the season with a 65-0 record and is 166-9 for his career. Y-101 Story |
