Tillman may start for the Dolphins on Sunday

Former Toombs County Bulldog Travares Tillman may be back in the starting lineup when the Miami Dolphins play host to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Dolphins starting strong safety Yeremiah Bell tore his Achilles tendon and is out for the season. Travares was listed second on the depth chart at that position prior to the injury. Last season Bell replaced Travares as the Dolphins strong safety ending Tillman's run of 17 consecutive starts. On Wednesday, the Dolphins signed veteran safety Donovin Darius. Story  Rookie Courtney Bryan is also available to play strong safety. The Dolphin's web site lists Tillman as first string with Darius and Bryan second and third team respectively.

Tillman expects to be used in the Dolphins' base defense, but not in their dime package which requires a blitzing safety. Travares told the Miami Herald,

''That's a situation I probably won't be in. I really don't think they'll ask me to be in that role because that's not the type of player I am. They'll probably slide someone else down in there. Yeremiah's blitzing ability and coverage ability was really good.''
